Dr. Mouaz N. Tawam is a highly accomplished invasive cardiologist with over 20 years of experience. He received his medical degree from the University of Damascus and completed his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University Medical School. He has held multiple leadership positions at Orlando Health, including Director of Cardiology and medical director of Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Dr. Tawam is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography and Cardiovascular CT. He held an academic position at the University of Illinois Medical School where he received the Raymond B. Allen (Golden Apple) Instructorship Award. He has participated in several clinical research trials and has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals.
