Professional Background
Stephanie Perez is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who provides cardiovascular care to patients at the Cardiovascular Center of Florida. Her clinical interests include preventive cardiology, hypertension, lipid disorders, and cardiovascular risk reduction. Her nursing background includes experience in both the cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories, where she cared for patients undergoing a variety of cardiovascular procedures.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of West Florida. She is also a Clinical Lipid Specialist certified through the American Board of Clinical Lipidology, with specialized expertise in the prevention and management of lipid disorders and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
In addition to her clinical practice, Stephanie serves as a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator in clinical research at the University of Central Florida, with a particular interest in preventive cardiology, lipidology, and lipoprotein(a). Her research focuses on advancing cardiovascular prevention and translating emerging evidence into clinical practice. She is fluent in both English and Spanish and is passionate about empowering patients through education and evidence-based cardiovascular care.
