Interventional and Structural Cardiologist
Dr. Alsaad is an Interventional and Structural Cardiologist with expertise in treating coronary artery obstructions with stents (due to a heart attack or chronic angina), complex coronary artery Interventions with atherectomy (calcium removal) and mechanical circulatory support, percutaneous aortic valve implantation (TAVR), transcatheter mitral valve interventions (MitraClip), and patent foramen ovale closure. Dr. Alsaad also specializes in peripheral arterial interventions for both above and below the knee peripheral arterial disease.
Dr. Alsaad completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Florida and a Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional/Structural Cardiology Fellowship at Northshore University and the University of Chicago. Dr. Alsaad's research interest is focused on intravascular imaging and quality improvement in health care. Dr. Alsaad has over 50 publications and book chapters in the fields of medicine and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Alsaad has several awards and recognitions, including an outstanding resident award by the American College of Physicians.
